Take a Look Behind the Scenes of Car Manufacturing: Toyota Kolín Launches Public Factory Tours

While in the initial phase the tours were primarily intended for employees and their families, they are now open to anyone interested in seeing how Toyota vehicles for European customers are produced at the Kolín plant.

“Car manufacturing fascinates many people, but only a few have the opportunity to see it firsthand. That is why we are pleased to open the doors of our plant to the public and show how Toyota vehicles are made. During the tour, visitors will discover not only advanced technologies and automation, but also the work and dedication of our employees behind every vehicle we produce,” says Robert Kiml, President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic.

The visit lasts approximately two hours. It begins with a brief introduction to the company and Toyota vehicle production, followed by a virtual tour of the plant and a guided walk through the production areas. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe the different stages of the manufacturing process and see how people and technology work together to build each vehicle.

The tours are free of charge and are available in both Czech and English. The route covers approximately two kilometres and offers a unique behind-the-scenes insight into automotive manufacturing. For safety reasons, visitors are required to wear closed-toe shoes and long trousers. Children aged six and over may participate when accompanied by an adult.
